Owners of Spa Castle Arrested

The owners of Spa Castle in New York are facing up to 15 years in prison after being arrested Wednesday and charged with failing to pay more than $1.5 million in taxes according to prosecutors.

Investigators raided the 100,000-square-foot College Point spa in 2015 and eventually found the family failed to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in state taxes from 2010 to 2013, the attorney general’s office said.

The New York state Attorney General Schneiderman also said The Chons underreported earnings and paid employees under the table, robbing the state of more than $621,000 in sales taxes, $207,000 in withholding taxes, $610,000 in corporate taxes and $131,000 in Metropolitan Transportation Authority Surcharge taxes, Schneiderman said.

While the spacastleusa.com site directs to both the Carrollton Spa Castle and the Queens Spa Castle the Dallas resort is still open. We are unaware of any investigations ongoing from the Texas State A.G. You may want to call ahead before booking that Groupon Deal for the Spa!

Spa Castle and King Spa are popular spas for many to relax in the metroplex. Club Dallas and Midtown Spa remain the only men-only spas in Dallas. In 2010, Eleven people were arrested at The Club Dallas on Friday night when police raided the gay bathhouse in Deep Ellum.
