Rihanna has canceled another date on her latest tour because she is ill. Live Nation says the Grammy-winning singer is unable to perform at Monday’s concert in Houston “as a result of illness.” The concert promoter says fans should retain their tickets to use at a rescheduled show. Rihanna canceled shows in Baltimore and Boston on her “Diamonds World Tour” last month for being sick and now she is supposed to be in Dallas tomorrow night at the American Airlines Center.
UPDATE! – Rihanna’s concert tonight at American Airlines Center has been postponed, this just in from Live Nation. The postponement comes due to Rihanna being ill. She had already canceled show dates in Baltimore, Boston and Houston.
We are surprised she would cancel Houston which is after the Dallas show and not cancel her show at the AAC. Maybe she has a procedure scheduled that day. It just seems odd. If you are holding tickets to the show tomorrow night I would make back up plans because it is highly unlikely if she is sick she will not show.
There are rumors that Rihanna is canceling only the cities where her ticket sales are poor. This could be true but we are seeing some tickets on Stubhub going for up to $999. Tickets are starting at $59 but may be reduced tomorrow. I would not buy a ticket from anyone unless it is guaranteed for a refund if she is a no show.
The concert is to support her seventh album, “Unapologetic,” which features the hits “Diamonds” and “Stay.” Rapper A$AP Rocky is the opening act on Rihanna’s tour.
