Prepare for a celestial dance in the sky as Dallas gets ready for the spectacular total solar eclipse happening on Monday, April 8th, 2024! You’ll find numerous ways to celebrate, from large official events like Downtown Dallas Inc.’s party at Main Street Garden to rooftop hotel bashes. The Perot Museum of Nature and Science is hosting a huge outdoor viewing experience complete with science demonstrations and expert astronomers.
First of all let’s talk about the clouds that may be around. Looking at the latest weather reports for DFW we are seeing mixed reports and are hoping for the best visibility. Either way it will be an experience but don’t drink too much because this will be much more of a “spiritual” event.

- Union Coffee: This popular spot is opening early and offering rooftop patio seating for a prime eclipse viewing experience.
- Jrs, TMC, Woody’s and Roundup Saloon: All three of these locations will open at 11:30 am for the eclipse. Their patios, including the Roundup Saloon’s patio top, will provide fantastic vantage points for the celestial show. JR’s and TMC will open all of the patio to Station 4 (S4) and have free glasses while supplies last.
Remember to secure your eclipse glasses early and prepare for crowds at popular spots!
