Club Dallas Spa Reopens for Memorial Day

Club Dallas aka “Grandma’s” Spa will reopen on Memorial Day with new rules in effect.

Temporary Club Dallas hours will be limited to 8 a.m.-11 p.m. instead of the normal 24 hours 7 days a week. Maximum capacity is 25 percent of the maximum allowed by the club’s city permit β€” or around 45 people. Visits will be limited to four hours with no renewals (or a quickie as some call it).

Everyone’s temperature will be scanned before entry. Anyone with a temperature of 100 degrees or higher will be turned away.

Locker rooms and showers will remain closed. Guests will only be able to rent private rooms. No bags, including gym bags, are permitted inside. Masks will be required in all areas except individual dressing rooms, pool deck, hot tub, sauna and steam room.

These are major changes in the rules they had before especially not allowing any kind of bags.

Anyone working out in the gym must wear gloves. Employees must wear masks and gloves at all times.

No play spaces will be open, and social distancing requirements will be in place. Sorry, piggies.

Lockers won’t be rented, but rooms will be. Doors to rooms must remain closed at all times.

Signs will be posted on the sauna door limiting capacity to six. Staff won’t be stationed at the sauna door, so he hopes patrons will keep that number in mind and comply.

Our Take

We are glad to see Club Dallas opening up it’s doors again for customers to workout in the gym and to enjoy a gay spa day even if it is just for four hours now. This has always been a good place to come to after the bars close in an Uber for those that live far away but since the bars are not really open on Cedar Springs the Midnight closing rule makes sense.

If you would like to take a stroll back down memory lane this Memorial Day weekend then check out the photos of Midtown Spa here and The Lizard Lounge that recently closed its doors for good. A club where Madonna, Tiesto, Avicii, and Moby played.
