Similar to AirBnb but it’s gay hostess by the mostess. Go here for a $25 Misterbnb credit on your first stay.

These are a great way to meet new people and stay in the gayborhood and live like a local while in town for the block party weekend. If you insist on a hotel stay then we have listed some of our favorites in the area below:

Halloween Block Party Photos

halloween-costume-block-party19Over 14,000 people attended this year’s block party according to the Oaklawn Halloween Event Page. There were almost 20k who said they were interested. This actually beat the Gay Pride Parade attendance numbers according to the event page.

Most of the costumes were easily predicted such as hundreds of really scary Donald Trumps and coupled Hillary and Donald’s. The ones that really stuck out were the Catholic exorcism with a bed and all and the Dallas Strong group with trays on top of their heads with the Dallas Skyline and light up shoes. We are still not sure how they could possibly keep those glued on walking through the massive crowds.

Halloween Block Party Photos

blockpartycostumes shirtless guysWhile the Oaklawn Halloween Block party was not as busy as it has been in past years because of the threat of rain coming in all directions and Hurricane Patricia remains… it was still busy and we had a blast. The weather finally worked with us and the rain calmed down just in time for the sexy and creative block party participants to come out. Of course this year we noticed Donald Trump, Batman, Superman, Spiderman (lots of superheroes), that mean lady that prevented gays from being married Kim Davis, and Katy Perry’s Superbowl Sharks. See more Block party photos below including the walking Glory Hole.
