How to Get Around for Dallas Pride Parade & Festival

Below is a guide on how to get around the magical city of Dallas for Pride Weekend.

Recommended Airport Ride:
Wingz is the best option for airport rides especially with $5 off because there are no surge rates. Just make sure to plan the pick-up several hours or a day in advance.  This will not only get you from your home airport when flying into the Dallas area but will get you from DFW or Love Field to the hotel of your stay. Here is a list of the host hotels and Oaklawn area hotels.

Rideshare:

Avoid Surge with A Taxi App:
Create a new Curb account and download the app for the first time.  On the credit card registration page that appears after creating an account, click the “Enter Promo Code” text link. Enter Referral Code o91l92 to receive $10 in Magic Credits added to your account instantly.

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART)
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit authority is a transit agency in Dallas, Texas. It operates buses, light rail, commuter rail, and high-occupancy vehicle lanes in Dallas and 12 of its suburbs. Go here to check out the DART train and bus schedule for Dallas.

Shuttle buses for Pride:
Pick Up locations will be at the Legacy of Love Monument (Oak Lawn Ave. @ Cedar Springs Road) and the entrance to Reverchon Park. They run from 3 pm to 8 pm. Note: This is based on 2016 Pride and we do not see any mentions of the shuttle for this years pride on the organizations page throwing the Parade.

Parking and RideShare Locations:

Where do I park for the Parade?
Parking is an issue. Some paid lots are available. Street parking fills up fast. For later arrivals, some street parking may be found around Lemmon Ave., Maple Ave. or north of the Tollway on Cedar Springs Road.

Where do I park for the Festival?
Parking is an issue. Some paid lots are available. Street parking fills up fast. For later arrivals, some street parking may be found on side streets off Oak Lawn Ave., Maple Ave. or Cedar Springs Road.

Where do I get an Uber, Lyft or Taxi for the Festival?
The drop-0ff and pick-up location for all car services, app-based shared rides and taxi-cabs will be located near the corner of Turtle Creek Blvd. and Fairmont St. (one block off Maple Ave. at the Park entrance).
