DixiechicksdallasWe could not be more excited that the Dixie Chicks announced today that they’re hitting the road for a world tour in 2016. The best part is that The Grammy Award-Winning Dixie Chicks will perform in Dallas for the first time in 10 years. You may remember their original lineup long before the bestselling albums and the George W. Bush shame consisted of “four girls singing on McKinney Avenue.”

The girls return to Big D Aug. 5 at Gexa Energy Pavilion. VIP tickets go on sale Tuesday, and the rest of the masses can buy tickets Saturday. The 2016 U.S. DCX MMXVI actually had debate whether the band would play Dallas ever again following a death threat in 2006. The date is set though for August 5 at the Gexa Energy Pavilion. Tickets go on sale Friday for the masses.

More upcoming shows in the Metroplex include:
Kid Cudi at the Bomb Factory on Dec. 17. Tickets on sale here.
